Lodge Dolphin, Number 911 was granted a charter by the Grand Lodge of Scotland on the 8th December 1900. The Lodge was consecrated by the Provincial Grand Lodge of Stirlingshire on 22nd December 1900 when Brother Alexander Mitchell was installed as the first Master. Meetings of the Lodge took place in the Co-operative Hall, Bonnybridge at this time. A celebration dinner was held in the local Royal Hotel. Mr William Brown became the first initiate at a meeting held on 14th February 1901, eight other initiates also joined the Lodge that evening. |
Lodge Hozier Douglas Water 912 was established in the year 1901 in the village of Douglas Water, Lanarkshire. The Lodge meetings are held in the Masonic Hall, Houldsworth Street, Douglas Water, every second Thursday in the months outwith recess. Lodge St.Donan No.933 was born from the circumstances following the death of a Brother Freemason, a resident of West Helmsdale and a cooper by trade who, whilst working in Rosehearty in Aberdeenshire joined Lodge Forbes No.67. As a result of his passing, seven Freemasons who happened to be working and/or residing in the area convened a meeting for the purpose of "Accompanying the remains of the late Brother John MacDonald of Lodge Forbes No.67, resident at West Helmsdale to their last resting place". |
